The kitchen was moved from the rear of the house to the front, the wall between the former kitchen and the living room was removed, and the toilet was relocated and enlarged. These renovations created a large living space on the garden side, spanning the entire width of the house. Large aluminum sliding doors were installed in the garden facade, allowing plenty of light into the room and providing a wide view of the deep garden. Opening the sliding doors provides easy access from the living room to the garden.
The existing wooden floor on the ground floor was replaced with an insulated concrete floor with light oak parquet flooring. The installations (central heating, electrical, and sewer) on the ground floor were largely replaced, and the walls and ceiling were replastered.
